Junior Level Sociologist
RAND is looking for junior sociologists to work across social and economic well-being; health care; education and labor; military and national defense; and homeland security. This year, we are particularly interested in applicants working on topics related to the Sociology/Demography of Aging and Social Stratification and Inequality. We will also consider applicants with substantive expertise, methodological skills, and interests in: criminology, population and demographic methods, health care and delivery systems issues, science and technology, military sociology, and homeland security and federal emergency management (e.g. community resilience; disaster preparedness and recovery). Quantitative and qualitative methodological skill sets are sought. RAND is also interested in innovative methodological approaches to research. PEW RESEARCH CENTER - WASHINGTON DC , USA (REMOTE POSITION)
Research Assistant, Internet and Technology
PRC has an immediate need for a Research Assistant to support its research about the social impact of the internet and technology. This research unit produces reports exploring the impact of the internet and technology on individuals, families, communities, work and home, daily life, civic and political activities and the future of digital life. Key topics include: technology use, social networking and social media, mobile connectivity, and digitally-relevant policy issues such as privacy, cybersecurity, online harassment, the rise of artificial intelligence. We are particularly interested in candidates who are immersed in digital life, understanding the emergent social and political activities that occur on social media and in other text- and voice-based interfaces. This position will work primarily with surveys and survey data and creating reports from that material. In addition, candidates who are familiar with other methodologies, such as data science analytics, will be especially valued.

Project Manager - EU Radicalisation Network
RUSI is recruiting a full-time Project Manager to carry out specific functions within the Radicalisation Awareness Network Policy Support (RAN-PS) consortium. The project supports EU Member States and the Commission in the fight against violent radicalisation by providing them with the best academic knowledge and by supporting strategic communication. The project covers the spread of violent extremist ideologies online and offline, the polarisation in local communities, the management of foreign terrorist fighters and their families, the radicalisation in prisons and the rehabilitation of ex-offenders, and more. IYIS is seeking a Lead Researcher to focus on the interactions between climate change and the landscape of energy, agriculture and/or food security in Southeast Asia. C2ES is seeking one full-time Energy Policy Intern to work on a remote basis in the Summer of 2021. This internship provides the ideal candidate the opportunity to work on energy policy research at C2ES, including: hydrogen and other low carbon fuels, reducing power sector emissions, and reducing industrial sector emissions. The intern will conduct research on power, and industrial sector decarbonization in general, focus on infrastructure, clean industrial heat, hydrogen, and other low-carbon fuels.
