Policy Opportunities (Feb 19, 2021)
Climate research roles, openings across North America, tech policy jobs in India and remote internships in Europe are among the opportunities listed at think tanks this week.
There are some interesting new positions this week, including many good opportunities at tanks across North America, including in Canada and Hawaii, as well as in Washington DC. There are also interesting tech policy research roles at Indian tanks and some internships at European tanks that can be done remotely. As per usual, several tanks are advertising more than one vacancy, so make sure to search the site thoroughly and apply to all positions of interest. Even if you already have a position, it is always good to keep up to speed with what is on offer in the policy space!

Post-Graduate Research Fellowship Program 2021-2022 (4 positions)
APFC is offering up to four one-year positions who will divide their time between conducting research and participating in the Foundation’s day-to-day activities. Climate Risk Specialist
EWC is accepting applications for a two-year, limited appointment as a Climate Risk Specialist to coordinate the grant collaboration between the East-West Center and the Hawaii Climate Change Mitigation and Adaptation Commission funded by the United States Climate Alliance. This collaboration (Climate Ready Hawaii Initiative) will develop standard operating procedures to guide mainstreaming of climate change consideration and resilience practice in key State agencies. The Specialist will lead the implementation of a portion of the Initiative aimed to develop a roadmap for the SOH’s agencies dealing with climate change impacts. They will manage relations with government agencies; prepare reports of best practices and knowledge of climate proofing for state and county governments in Hawaii and assesses agency institutional capacities to fulfill climate proofing and mainstreaming goals.
