Policy Pro FAQs
It was so encouraging to receive so much positive feedback after announcing Policy Pro early in the week. Thank you for your words of support! After replying to all those messages, I thought it best to answer the most frequently asked questions for all readers here in one place. So here we go…
Who is Policy Pro for?
Policy Pro is for you, if you are…
Actively looking for a new job or internship
Keeping an eye out for your dream policy position
Looking for a differentiated source of intel on the industry to feel the pulse of policy trends and keep abreast of changes to research programs and personnel at tanks
How much does a subscription cost?
Policy Pro will cost $9/month, but right now we are running a Policy Pro Pre-Launch Promo, giving those who join before the launch on January 15 a 30% discount ($6.30/month) for a year as a special thank you from me.
Also, those who choose annual payments rather than monthly will get 12 month’s subscription for the price of 10 months.
Why launch Policy Pro now?
Since launching last August, I’ve put out 48 Policy People newsletter updates (events and opportunities) over 24 weeks, delivering reliably every week without exception. It takes me a lot of time to research, curate and publish each edition and correspond with our rapidly-growing community. Launching Policy Pro will enable me to put aside my other work and fully commit myself to developing this platform. It will allow me to invest in tools and people that will better connect you with your ideal policy job and pave the way for launching new content and services aimed at further empowering policy professionals.
Will the regular Policy Opportunities update continue?
Yes, the Policy Opportunities update will continue to be sent to regular (non-Pro) readers every Friday. It will list the same amount of positions as it always has, but will only contain half as many as those listed on the Policy Pro update, and be available one week later than the Pro version. (We are adding to the Policy People experience - not taking anything away.)
What about the Policy Events update?
Policy Events will remain separate from by the new premium subscription. All readers, (regular and Pro) will receive Policy Events each Tuesday as usual.
Can I unsubscribe?
Yes, you can cancel your subscription at any time.
Will there be more Pro content or features in the future?
Yes, there are big plans for more content and features going forward into the future, including an inter-think tank podcast network, member’s online forum and even a policy careers mentorship program. These new additions will better serve the needs of our growing community and Pro subscribers will be the first to experience it.
