CGD seeks a Research Assistant to work on Chinese Development Policy. Internships - Epidemiology of Caste
CRRSS is seeking three interns with backgrounds in either Sociology/Anthropology, Public Health or Statistics to work on a special empirical investigation into notions of ‘perceived ritual purity’ associated with ideas of ‘castes’ and ‘tribes’ in India. With the help of a dedicated multidisciplinary team, the project aims to look into the relationship between caste/tribe attributes and healthcare with a special focus on immunization drives. The team will review the existing literature, collate and analyze public health data and try to produce maps of suitable areas based on their public health facilities vis-a-vis caste/tribe attributes. In the final stage, the participants of the project will co-author a research manuscript detailing the findings of the project.
