There are also a couple of remote internship openings available for new graduates or others new to the policy space. As per usual, several tanks are advertising more than one vacancy, so make sure to search the site thoroughly and apply to all positions of interest. The Senior Advocacy and Communications Adviser is responsible for delivering the Institute’s advocacy strategy to ensure maximum impact for the Institute and accelerating deployment of carbon capture and storage (CCS). Internships - Virtual Positions
ICS has now expanded the Internship Programme to receive ‘virtual interns’, those who may not be able to come to Delhi, but wish to connect with the Institute through the internet, email and other online channels, to pursue projects or short assignments that fit into their study programs, and receive guidance from ICS faculty. The intern will be required to present a project proposal which will be assessed by ICS in terms of its suitability, and the availability of ICS research staff to guide the scholar as needed. An ICS Faculty, Fellow or Associate will mentor the intern. The intern will be expected to work closely with their mentor and other concerned faculty members. The intern will be involved in various activities of ICS as feasible. The intern is required to submit a progress report on a fortnightly basis to the mentor and ICS faculty.

Research Fellow
Research Fellows will have an active curiosity and desire to work on original concepts and ideas relating to Peace and International Development. The Fellows will have a track record of conducting quantitative and qualitative research in one or more of the fields of social sciences, development studies, statistics, economics and peace and conflict studies. Candidates will have a deep interest in big picture questions, be open-minded to multidisciplinary approaches in the social sciences and be well travelled. They will have a good understanding of current debates in international development, peace and conflict. Experience in project management and/or successful grant writing would be highly desirable. The role will suit either a Master’s level practitioner, or professionals in business/consulting/government looking to transfer their skills into a new and socially impactful organisation. PhD candidates will only be considered if they also have commercial/consulting experience or a successful track record in winning grants to fund research.
