Welcome to this week’s Policy Opportunities update. This week we have listed internships based in the US, India and Australia. There are also a couple of openings with a focus on women, namely at CSIS and Asian Confluence, as well as a number of positions at tanks that specialize in energy policy, including those at the Institute for Energy Economics and Financial Analysis and the World Resources Institute. Several tanks are advertising more than one vacancy, so make sure to search the site thoroughly and apply to all positions of interest. U.S. Oil & Gas Industry Analyst (Permian Basin)
IEEFA is seeking a US Oil and Gas Analyst for a position based in the southwestern US. We are looking for an experienced professional with financial knowledge of the energy industry in the southwest and with a commitment to IEEFA’s mission to accelerate the transition to a diverse, sustainable and profitable energy economy. Among other duties, the successful candidate will produce written analysis and commentary for publication and internal use on oil and gas industry finance in the Permian Basin; establish a monitoring program to alert IEEFA to emerging regional energy issues and to develop themes for analysis and provide timely relevant Permian Basin information for colleagues and the media.
